What is a Vehicle Protection Plan and what is included?
 
A Vehicle Protection Plan is an extended warranty, otherwise accurately called a Vehicle Service Contract. These plans are available for up to seven years/100,000 miles, whichever occurs first. In addition to providing protection against unexpected mechanical and electrical breakdowns, most of these plans include 24-hour emergency roadside assistance, towing, rental car reimbursement, trip interruption protection, and tire road hazard protection. 
  
 
If I sell my vehicle, is my plan transferable?
 
Yes, your plan is transferable to the new owner. An Extended Service Plan may enhance the value of your vehicle and is a great benefit for the buyer, which may help you sell your vehicle easier and faster.
 
 
Can I buy a plan if my manufacturer’s warranty has expired?
 
Absolutely! You may still purchase a Vehicle Protection Plan after the original manufacturer’s warranty has expired. In fact, there is never a more important time to have the security of a Vehicle Protection Plan than when your vehicle is beyond the manufacturer’s warranty.
 
 
Are plans available for both new and used vehicles?
 
Yes! The specific plans available to you depend only on your vehicle’s year, make, model and mileage.
 
 
Is there a deductible?
 
Yes, a Vehicle Protection Plan offers you a choice of deductibles: $0, $50, $100 and $200. The deductible is per visit not for each repair.
 
 
Do I need a plan if my vehicle is still under factory warranty?
 
Absolutely! There are a number of significant benefits to owning a Vehicle Protection Plan while your vehicle is still protected under your original manufacturer’s warranty.

My vehicle is not currently under warranty, but it’s very reliable.  Do I need a Vehicle Protection Plan?
 
Mechanical breakdowns are a reality for even the most reliable vehicle and that is why the manufacturer only offers warranties for a limited period. As your vehicle gets older and has more miles on it, the likelihood of experiencing breakdown increases, especially after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. So, it is a good investment to protect yourself today from an unexpected and costly repair bill in the future.
 
 
How can I pay for a Vehicle Protection Plan?
 
You can pay with a check by phone,  or with a debit or credit card. All payments are interest and finance free and for some plans can be paid over 24 months..
 
 
Can I be sure you’ll be around to handle my future claims?
 
Rest assured we will be here when you need us. On every premium collected, a percentage goes into an account for the sole purpose of paying claims. All programs are fully insured and backed by either Protective Life or Mercury Insurance,  both rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best Company.
 
 
Why not just buy an extended warranty from the dealer?
 
Purchasing from the dealer will definitely cost you more money. Dealers are just the middlemen.  Extended warranties are often the most profitable item that a dealer sells, much more so than the car itself. I’ve never had any problems so far; maybe I don’t really need an extended warranty on my car?

Why should I even consider an extended warranty, if the manufacturer covers my car now?
 
There is no advantage in waiting to obtain an extended warranty. As the mileage on your odometer increases, the price of the program increases. Why pay more?
  
An extended warranty is the type of item you my not think about again until it is too late, and you’ve gone beyond your original basic factory warranty, and you are in need of an expensive repair. Not only can you immediately take advantage of the Convenience Benefits (such as Towing, Flat Tire Change, Car Rental Reimbursement, Trip Interruption Protection, etc.), you will more importantly have the peace of mind knowing you are fully covered for miles and years to come.

What about a leased car? Who is responsible?
 
Consider this issue carefully. If you are leasing a new vehicle for 36 months or less, you may not need one, but if you have leased a vehicle for longer, say 60 months, it would be best to purchase an extended warranty to protect you for the balance of the lease. A manufacturer’s warranty usually only covers the first 3 years or 36,000 miles, you are always responsible for all repairs to that vehicle for the entire term of the lease. With a NAG Service program the responsibility is ours.
  
Spend a little money now to protect yourself and avoid spending a lot of money later.
 
 
Where do I take my car if it needs to be fixed?
 
You can take your vehicle to any reputable, licensed repair facility, automobile dealership or repair shop. Ask them to diagnose, and correct the problem with your vehicle and then have the repair facility contact our claims center using our toll-free telephone number. NAG handles it from there.
 
 
Who does the paperwork for the claim?
 
Once you select your repair facility and they contact us with information as to what is required to repair your car, we will authorize all covered repairs minus your deductible. As soon as the repairs are finished to your complete satisfaction, we then pay the repair shop directly for your vehicle repairs with our corporate credit car. No “pre-payment” by you and then waiting for reimbursement from the company. The claims for NAG programs are paid directly to the dealer or repair facility and you are on you way!
 
 
Will the warranty cover my car if I’m traveling out of town?
 
NAG programs are honored in both the United States and Canada. When you travel, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your repairs are covered. We even provide the added protection of travel expense coverage for overnight stays and meals incurred if you are left stranded due to the failure of a covered component and you’re more than 100 miles from home.
 
 
How is the deductible applied? Per repair item or per repair visit?
 
Your deductible is applied per repair visit. This means that regardless of the number of items that need repair, you will only pay your deductible to the repair shop once per visit.
 
 
Is there a limit to the number of claims for my car?
 
The number of claims on your vehicle is unlimited. The total amount of coverage could be as high as the value of your vehicle.
 
 
Can I trust your company to be around for the long term?
 
Your trust is important to us and we realize that our credibility is one of the most important facets of our business. Therefore, once NAG collects your premium for the extended vehicle warranty, those funds are automatically deposited into a Premium Reserve Account. Those funds are kept in reserve only to pay future claims for the life of your contract. Our underwriters are rated either A+ or A- by A.M. Best so that you are protected for the life of your vehicle service contract.
 
 
What if I sell my car?
 
At NAG, your extended warranty is transferable any time during the life of the contract as long as you are selling your vehicle to a private party. This feature actually increases the resale value of your vehicle from day one.
 
 
Is it safe for me to purchase my vehicle service contract on-line?
 
Yes, it is absolutely safe and it is the most convenient way to purchase your service contract via our secure web site. We use the most sophisticated data encryption technology available to ensure the security and privacy of all the information provided to us. Your time is valuable and so is your money. You can save both by applying to NAG on line via the internet.
 
 
How do I pay for my contract?
 
The easiest method is to use our No Interest-No Finance Charge Payment Option. Just use your American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover Card. We will debit the charge card of your choice for the initial down payment and then, starting approximately 30 days later, debit the charge card once per month. We offer several payment schedules, all interest free and without finance charges. We will work with you to select the method that best satisfies your needs. You can also use eChecking if you prefer. Simply supply us with your checking account number and ABA (Bank routing number) and we will debit your checking account the same as described above for charge cards. You, of course, can pay for a program in full by using either your charge card or eChecking.
